He also spoke about building working relationships with Ministries, Department and Agencies.

MINISTRY OF WORKS

Responding, the Minister thanked the Ombudsman and Team for sharing such information and knowledge, and stated that the Ombudsman’s Office is for Civil and Public Servants alike and as well as for Politicians thereby acknowledging the importance of the Office. He maintained that members of the public should use the Office as a Dispute Resolution Institution rather than going to court. He emphasized the need for members of staff to work diligently to avoid disciplinary actions taken against them. He opined that the Ombudsman’s office has a pivotal role in ensuring that the Civil service operates in a professional manner. He pledged his ministry’s continued support to the Ombudsman’s Office.
