What we Do

• We receive complaints about maladministration in all government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) in Sierra Leone.

• We investigate any administrative actions or omissions by a government department that has caused someone to suffer injustice.

• We mediate between the complainant and the agency complained of to resolve the dispute.

• We report on investigations into a complaint and recommend remedial actions to the Minister or the Head of the MDA that we have investigated. We can also report to His Excellency the President, and to the House of Parliament.

• We draw the attention of Government to correct any defect in any law we discovered in the course of our investigations into a complaint.
